»Atheist's Cornea« ist das sechste Album der japanischen Post-Rock-Band Envy. In Europa erscheint es auf dem Label Rock Action, welches von der Band Mogwai geführt wird. Dies ist nicht die einzige Verbindung zu Mogwai. So sang Frontmann Tetsuya Fukagawa bereits auf dem Titel »I Chose Horses« auf deren Album »Mr. Beast«. Zudem eint beide Künstler, dass sie gewillt sind Genre-Formeln zu transzendieren und Post-Rock zu neuen Ufern zu führen.
»Atheist's Cornea« ist unglaublich dynamisch, lebt von Stimmungs- und Tempowechseln, Sänger Tetsuya schont sich keine Sekunde. Melancholische Stücke, wie etwa »Shining Finger«, wechseln sich mit echten (Metal-nahen) Brettern wie »Blue Moonlight« ab.
