Ein weiterer Schatz aus dem Dream-Theater-Archiv
Im Juni 2021 haben Dream Theater eine neue Albumserie ins Leben gerufen: »Lost Not Forgotten Archives«. Zusammen mit dem Label Inside Out legen die Progressive-Metal-Ikonen eine Reihe von Alben aus dem langjährigen YtseJam-Katalog neu auf. Außerdem wird die Sammlerserie durch ein paar brandneue Veröffentlichungen ergänzt.
YtseJam Records, seinerzeit von Mike Portnoy gegründet, war bereits Herausgeber der offiziellen Bootleg-Sammlung von Dream Theater, die Live-Shows, Demos und Studio-Outtakes aus der gesamten Karriere der Band umfasst. Als Teil von »Lost Not Forgotten Archives« wird die gesamte Sammlung auf CD sowie zum ersten Mal auf Vinyl mit brandneuem Artwork und neuer Verpackung wiederveröffentlicht.
Nachdem im Juni mit »Images And Words – Live In Japan, 2017« das erste komplett neue Release erschien, kommt im Juli bereits die zweite Veröffentlichung im Rahmen der »Lost Not Forgotten Archives«.
»A Dramatic Tour Of Events – Select Board Mixes« ist eine sorgfältig kuratierte Auswahl von insgesamt 13 Tracks, die während ihrer »A Dramatic Tour Of Events« aufgenommen wurden. Mit dabei sind Fan-Favoriten wie »As I Am«, »Peruvian Skies« und »The Great Debate«. Das gesamte Tracklisting finden Sie im Folgenden.
Die Konzertreise fand 2011 und 2012 im Rahmen der Veröffentlichung ihres elften Studioalbums »A Dramatic Turn Of Events« statt. Die Mitschnitte stammen von Shows in Phoenix, London, Austin, Montreal, Huntington (New York), Tel Aviv und Shibuya.
Ursprünglich war dieses Album eine reine Fanclub-Veröffentlichung, die nun erstmals regulär erhältlich ist, und zwar als Doppel-CD, als 3-LP-Set auf klassisch-schwarzem Vinyl inklusive der Doppel-CD sowie als Limited Edition mit drei LPs auf Transparent Coke Bottle Green Vinyl, ebenfalls inklusive Doppel-CD.
