Cymande ist eine legendäre Funk Gruppe, die sich 1971 in London gegründet hat. Es folgten drei Alben in den frühen bis Mitte 1970ern. Cherry Records ist stolz darauf alle drei Alben wiederzuveröffentlichen.
Ihr drittes Album, „Promised Heights“ aus dem Jahr 1975, beinhaltet den Club-Klassiker „Brothers On The Slide“, der schon einige Male gesampelt und für Soundtracks verwendet wurde.
Die Wiederveröffentlichung beinhaltet zusätzlich drei spätere Songs, darunter die letzte Single „Friends“, sowie neue Liner Notes.
