Für Charlotte Cornfield aus Toronto (ON) war das Jahr 2021 ein Jahr des massiven Wachstums. Ihr von der Kritik gelobtes Album »Highs In The Minuses« wurde als ihr bisher bestes Werk gefeiert, der Rolling Stone erklärte sie zu »Kanadas bestgehütetem Geheimnis« und The Alternative nannte es »eine der besten Platten«.
Das Album zeigte Cornfields Talent, sehr persönliche Songs mit einem beobachtenden Ton und witzigen Texten zu schreiben. Sie nahm diese herzzerreißenden, empathischenen Songs mit auf Tour, die sie über zahlreiche Shows und Festivals durch Nordamerika und Europa führte. Für das neue Album »Could Have Done Anything« arbeitete sie mit dem Produzenten und Bonny Light Horseman-Mitglied Josh Kaufman in Upstate New York zusammen und spielte alle Instrumente selbst ein.
