Gerade erst gewann die vierköpfige, aus Wales stammende Indie-Rock Band Catfish And The Bottlemen den diesjährigen BRIT Award in der Kategorie »Best Breakthrough Act«.
Zwei Jahre nach Veröffentlichung ihres Debütalbums »The Balcony« melden sich jetzt die vier Briten mit ihrer neuen Single »Soundcheck« zurück. Die neue Single ist der erste Vorgeschmack auf ihr kommendes, zweites Album »The Ride«. Die Single wurde bereits von BBC Radio 1 als »Hottest Track in the World« betitelt.
Catfish And The Bottlemen, bestehend aus Van McCann (Sänger/Gitarrist), Johnny Bond (Gitarrist), Benji Blakeaway (Bass) und Bob Hall (Schlagzeug), gründeten sich 2010 in North Wales.
Mit ihrem Debütalbum »The Balcony« (2014) startete die britische Band raketenartig durch: 2014 gewann die Band der BBC Introducing Artist Of The Year-Award, das Album »The Balcony« stieg auf #1 der UK Charts und wurde mit Gold ausgezeichnet. Es folgten ausverkaufte Live-Shows in u.a. UK, Europa und Australien.
