Die Speed Metal Zeiten und Bands wie Racer X führten in den 80er Jahren dazu, dass Bands und besonders deren Gitarristen immer schneller und halsbrecherischer spielen wollten. Die beiden Gitarristen Marty Friedman (Megadeth) & Jason Becker (David Lee Roth- Band) stellten hier eine Ausnahme dar und vorliegendes Album ein Highlight zur damaligen Zeit. »Go Off« hat neben Geschwindigkeit vor allem auch Songs und ein gut komponiertes Zusammenspiel mit Peter Marrino (Vocals) und vor allem Deen Castronovo (Drums) zu bieten.
