Ex-Electric Flag-Schlagzeuger Miles gründete den Buddy Miles Express, nachdem sich die Band 1968 aufgelöst hatte. Diese Alben wurden 1971 veröffentlicht, nachdem Miles die Zusammenarbeit mit Jimi Hendrix' Band Of Gypsys beendet hatte. Beide schafften es in die Billboard Top 100 Albums Chart.
