Bruce Soord ist Frontmann und Kopf der Progressive-Formation „The Pineapple Thief“, die eine der vielversprechendsten Bands des Genres darstellen. Sein Solo-Debüt „Wisdom Of Crowds“ wurde von ihm geschrieben und arrangiert, den Vocal-Part übernahm der Katatonia-Sänger Jonas Renkse.
Im Gegensatz zur brachialen Soundwand von seiner Stammband Katatonia (aktuelles Album „Dead End Kings“ # 21 in den MC-Charts) wurde Renkse von Soord ein maßgeschneidertes Soundgewand kreiert, das der ausdrucksvollen Stimme dieses herausragenden Sängers ausreichend Raum zur Entfaltung lässt.
