Bowies Soundtrackklassiker auf Vinyl
»Labyrinth«, das legendäre Soundtrackalbum von David Bowie und Komponist Trevor Jones, gibt es 2017 wieder auf Vinyl.Es handelt sich dabei um die Filmmusik zum gleichnamigen Fantasyabenteuerfilm von Jim Henson, in dem Bowie selbst als Jareth, der Koboldkönig, zu sehen ist.
Ursprünglich war das Album bereits 1986 auf MC und LP erschienen. Das erste CD-Release folgte 1989.
»Labyrinth« enthält neben instrumentalen Stücken von Trevor Jones (»Into the Labyrinth«, »Sarah«, »Hallucination«, »The Goblin Battle«, »Thirteen O’Clock«, »Home At Last«) einige gesungene Titel von David Bowie (»Magic Dance«, »Chilly Down«, »As The World Falls Down«, »Within You«, »Underground«). Die Stücke »Underground« und »Magic Dance« wurden als Singles ausgekoppelt.
In Deutschland erreichte die Filmmusik »Labyrinth« Platz 29 der Charts.
