Neben GENESIS und VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR war Audience eine der wichtigsten Bands auf dem Label Famous Charisma, das in den frühen 1970er Jahren besonders aktiv war. HOWARD WERTH (Vocals, Electric Nylon String Guitar), KEITH GEMMELL (Saxophon, Klarinette, Recorder, Flöte), TREVOR WILLIAMS (Bass, Vocals) und TONY CONNOR (Drums, Percussion, Vibes) hatten als Audience besonders in Europa großen Erfolg, da hier ihr vom Jazz beeinflusster Progressive Rock besonders populär war (Top Ten Status in Italien).
“Friend’s Friend’s Friend” war das erste Album für das neu etablierte Famous Charisma Records.
