Nachdem inzwischen so gut wie alle Platten des legendären Pilz-Labels wiederveröffentlicht worden sind, ist nun auch die erste und einzige von Ardo Dombec aus Hamburg gefolgt. Mit ihren vertrackten Rhythmen und Jazzeinflüssen fielen sie damals ziemlich aus dem Rahmen auf einem Label, das eigentlich dem Folk gewidmet war. Zwei Stücke der Gruppe, die damals auf einer Zusammenstellung zu finden waren, sowie die beiden Stücke einer unveröffentlicht gebliebenen Pilz-Single wurden der CD als Zusatz angehängt.
Das Farbheftchen von 32 Seiten enthält u. a. auch eine vollständige Diskographie und ausführliche Geschichte von Rolf Ulrich Kaisers Pilz-Label mit vielen Einzelheiten, die bisher noch nicht bekannt waren.
Die CD-Veröffentlichung erfolgte mit freundlicher Genehmigung von Fonoteam, bei denen jetzt die meisten Pilz-Rechte liegen.
After the re-issue of almost all of the legendary Pilz-label records, Ardo Dombec’s one and only LP (Pilz 2021095-2) is now available as well. The intricate rhythms and jazzy touches of this Hamburg band were at the time quite unusual for a label specialised in folk music. This CD features two tracks, which were then included in a compilation album, and another two songs from a never released Pilz single as bonus tracks. The 32-page colour booklet includes a lengthy band story in German and English language, lots of photographs and label repros, a complete discography and the detailed history of Rolf Ulrich Kaiser’s Pilz label with lots of new information. The original fold-out cover was reproduced accurately, as usual on Garden of Delights. The rights to this CD have been obtained from Fonoteam, who own most of the Pilz licences nowadays.
