Analogy: Analogy auf CD

Analogy gehören inzwischen zu den unbestrittenen Klassikern des Deutschrock. Das großartige Titelstück "Analogy", das auf vorliegender Auswahl zu hören ist und nach dem sie sich benannt hatten, gehört mit seinen psychedelischen Klängen zu den Glanzlichtern der Musikrichtung. Die Gruppe bestand aus vier Deutschen, die damals vorübergehend in Italien lebten, und einem später dazugestoßenen Italiener, der kurz nach der Plattenveröffentlichung im Streit wieder ging. Spätere Analogy-LPs und -CDs erschienen, außer auf Ohrwaschl, meist illegal.

Das Farbheft von 32 Seiten enthält neben zahlreichen Bildern und einer jeweils achtseitigen Bandstory in deutsch und englisch auch eine vollständige Diskographie (samt Ablegern) u. v.a. Vom Mutterband.

Analogy are undisputedly among the classic bands of German rock. Their only LP is valued at around US$1400 in prime condition. The magnificent title track "Analogy", from which the band took its name and which is included in the present selection, reminds us of the psychedelic music of early Pink Floyd and is one of the highlights of this musical genre. The band consisted of four German musicians living in Italy at the time, and one Italian, who left the band shortly after the release of their LP because of internal band disputes. A certain part of later Analogy CD and LP publications were initially illegal, but later approved by the band after amicable settlements. Next to numerous pictures, the 32-page colour booklet features a detailed band history and a complete discography with Analogy off-springs. The music was taken from master tapes.
