Das Debütalbum des erfolgreichen Gitarristen und Songwriters Jason Isbell, früher bei Drive By Truckers (DBT), wird 2022 mit vier zuvor unveröffentlichten Tracks aus den ursprünglichen Aufnahmesessions wiederveröffentlicht.
»Sirens Of The Ditch« ist zum Teil dem Aufnahmestudio FAME zuzuschreiben (Aretha Franklin, Duane Allman, Otis Redding) in Isbells Heimatstadt Muscle Shoals, AL, wo das Album aufgenommen wurde aufgenommen wurde. Das von Isbell und Patterson Hood (DBT) koproduzierte Album »Sirens Of The Ditch« enthält Isbell als Sänger und Gitarrist, begleitet von Shonna Tucker (ehemals DBT) am Bass Bass und Brad Morgan (DBT) am Schlagzeug. Mehrere Musiker tauchen für Cameos auf, darunter Spooner Oldham und David Hood (Pattersons Vater) bei »Down In A Hole«, John Neff (ehemals DBT) bei »Dress Blues« und Patterson selbst ist Gast bei »Shotgun Wedding«. »Ein starkes Debüt, voll von selbstbewusstem, charismatischem Songwriting, das man einfach nicht lernen kann.« - Spin
