Keyboard player and singer Tony Ashton from The Remo Four teamed up with bass-player Kim Gardner of The Creation, and with drummer Roy Dyke, the trio pursued a jazzy R&B approach. They recorded four albums including ‘The Last Rebel’ soundtrack, and gems like the beautifully arranged Bee Gees smash ‘New York Mining Disaster 1941’. In 1971 ‘Resurrection Shuffle’ reached No. 3 in the UK and No. 22 in Germany.
