Das Debütalbum der Cars aus dem Jahr 1978 nannte die Band in den folgenden Jahren gerne ironisch ihr Greatest Hits Album. Tatsächlich werden alle neun Titel auf diesem Album bis heute bei amerikanischen Radiostationen gespielt. Der damals revolutionäre Mix aus New Wave und Hard Rock mit Anleihen beim Pop findet auch heute noch Anhänger. Gerade Hits wie »Good Times Roll» und ›You're all I have got tonight« werden einfach nicht alt.
