Das achte Album des Alan Parsons Project, “Vulture Culture”, erschien ursprünglich 1985 und bleibt eins der poppigsten Alben der Band. Die A-Seite versammelt präzise und eingängige Songs, während sich die B-Seite mit Songs wie „Hawkeye“ auf experimentellere Pfade begibt. Das Album brachte zwei Singles hervor: den Opener „Let’s Talk About Me“, das in den europäischen Charts nach oben kletterte und „Days Are Numbers (The Traveller)“.
„Vulture Culture“ sollte ursprünglich als Teil eines 2LP-Sets erscheinen, von dem „Ammonia Avenue“ der erste Teil sein sollte. Am Ende wurden beide Alben unter großem Applaus einzeln veröffentlicht.
