Einst kehrte Chris Vaughn seinem schmucken Heimatort den Rücken, um bei den Special Forces Karriere zu machen. Während sein Kumpel Ray zu Hause unschöne Junkie-Zeiten verlebte, hat der gemeinsame Schulfreund Jay das ehemals blühende Holzfällerstädtchen in einen heruntergekommenen Sündenpfuhl voller Dealer, Zocker und Nutten verwandelt. Natürlich geht das Ray ganz gewaltig gegen den Strich und so lässt er sich zum Sheriff wählen, um selbst das Gesetz in die Hand zu nehmen - mit Hilfssheriff Ray an seiner Seite.
