As the successor to the Blu-ray Disc, the Ultra HD Blu-ray is an optical data storage device for movies in ultra-high definition format. The eponymous Ultra HD resolution is a maximum of 3840 × 2160 pixels. In contrast to its predecessor, it also supports a higher contrast range, a higher refresh rate and a larger color space. Normal Blu-ray players cannot play the new media. Ultra HD Blu-ray-capable devices are usually backward compatible.
Blu-Ray DiscThe Blu-Ray was developed as a high-definition successor to the DVD and offers a significantly increased data rate and storage capacity compared to its predecessor. Blu-Rays can therefore store movies with significantly better resolution and offer enormously high picture quality on corresponding screens. Blu-Ray players are usually backward compatible with DVDs, so that they can also be played.

Die planetenvernichtende Starkiller-Basis der Ersten Ordnung ist zwar zerstört, dafür ist die Neue Republik nach der vorherigen Zerstörung von den 5 Welten aber extrem geschwächt. Sie steht am Abgrund und wird nur noch von Generalin Leias Widerstand verteidigt, für den auch Pilot Poe Dameron und der desertierte Ex-Sturmtruppler Finn kämpfen. Rey, mit den Erfahrungen ihres ersten großen Abenteuers in den Knochen, geht unterdessen bei Luke Skywalker auf dem Inselplaneten Ahch-To in die Lehre. Der letzte Jediritter ist Luke, Vertreter und Hüter des Ordens. Auf Ihm ruht die ganze Hoffnung, dass es doch noch Frieden in der gesamten Galaxis gibt. Doch schon bald werden die ersten dunklen Schatten auf Luke und Rey fallen. Anders als geglaubt, hat der damalige Schützling des alten Großmeisters, Kylo Ren seine dunkle und finstere Mission noch lange nicht aufgegeben, welche ihm durch den sinisteren Strippenzieher Snoke aufgetragen wurde.
