The Blu-Ray was developed as a high-definition successor to the DVD and offers a significantly increased data rate and storage capacity compared to its predecessor. Blu-Rays can therefore store movies with significantly better resolution and offer enormously high picture quality on corresponding screens. Blu-Ray players are usually backward compatible with DVDs, so that they can also be played.

In einer entlegenen und verschneiten Berghütte wurde ein bestialischer Doppelmord begangen. Die Polizei steht vor einem Rätsel und der Mörder ist nicht zu finden. Nur eine alte Frau weiß, dass der Fluch des Verdammten wohl wieder neue Opfer gefordert hat. Neun junge Leute schlagen alle Warnungen in den Wind, denn sie wollen in der Hütte einen entspannten Urlaub verbringen. Weder die Legende, noch das grauenerregende Verbrechen können sie davon abhalten. Unwissentlich dringen sie in das Reich des lebenden Toten ein. Aber schon bald holt der Fluch jeden einzelnen von ihnen, denn die leiseste Berührung des Höllenmessers genügt, um vom Geist des Verdammten besessen zu werden. Es kommt zu einem blutigen Massaker, das niemand überleben wird.
