As the successor to the Blu-ray Disc, the Ultra HD Blu-ray is an optical data storage device for movies in ultra-high definition format. The eponymous Ultra HD resolution is a maximum of 3840 × 2160 pixels. In contrast to its predecessor, it also supports a higher contrast range, a higher refresh rate and a larger color space. Normal Blu-ray players cannot play the new media. Ultra HD Blu-ray-capable devices are usually backward compatible.
Blu-Ray DiscThe Blu-Ray was developed as a high-definition successor to the DVD and offers a significantly increased data rate and storage capacity compared to its predecessor. Blu-Rays can therefore store movies with significantly better resolution and offer enormously high picture quality on corresponding screens. Blu-Ray players are usually backward compatible with DVDs, so that they can also be played.

Primatenforscher Davis Okoye hat Probleme im Umgang mit seinen Mitmenschen - dagegen verbindet ihn eine unerschütterliche Freundschaft mit George, dem außergewöhnlich intelligenten Silberrücken-Gorilla, den er von Geburt an aufgezogen hat. Doch als ein illegales Genexperiment aus dem Ruder läuft, mutiert dieser sanftmütige Affe zu einem rasenden Monster von gewaltigen Ausmaßen. Damit nicht genug - bald stellt sich heraus, dass auch weitere Tiere auf diese Art manipuliert worden sind. Während diese neu geschaffenen Alpha-Raubtiere Nordamerika unsicher machen und alles vernichten, was sich ihnen in den Weg stellt, tut sich Okoye mit einer in Ungnade gefallenen Gentechnikerin zusammen, um ein Gegenmittel zu entwickeln, wobei er auf einem sich ständig wandelnden Schlachtfeld einen schweren Stand hat. Denn es geht nicht nur darum, eine weltweite Katastrophe zu verhindern, sondern auch das fürchterliche Biest zu retten, das einst sein Freund war.
