The Blu-Ray was developed as a high-definition successor to the DVD and offers a significantly increased data rate and storage capacity compared to its predecessor. Blu-Rays can therefore store movies with significantly better resolution and offer enormously high picture quality on corresponding screens. Blu-Ray players are usually backward compatible with DVDs, so that they can also be played.
Ultra HD Blu-rayAs the successor to the Blu-ray Disc, the Ultra HD Blu-ray is an optical data storage device for movies in ultra-high definition format. The eponymous Ultra HD resolution is a maximum of 3840 × 2160 pixels. In contrast to its predecessor, it also supports a higher contrast range, a higher refresh rate and a larger color space. Normal Blu-ray players cannot play the new media. Ultra HD Blu-ray-capable devices are usually backward compatible.

Marjane ist acht Jahre alt, als die Mullahs den Schah aus Persien vertreiben und die Macht übernehmen. Die Welt ist auf einmal eine andere. Doch die rebellische Marjane denkt gar nicht daran, sich den neuen strengen Regeln zu unterwerfen. Viel lieber entdeckt sie Punk, ABBA und Iron Maiden und macht erste Erfahrungen mit Jungs. Sie ahnt nicht, dass ihr spielerischer Protest gefährlich ist - nicht nur für sie selbst, sondern auch für ihre Familie.
Der Film basiert auf dem ebenfalls renommierten Graphic Novel, die Regie übernahm die Autorin Marjane Satrapi selbst. Der unkonventionelle Zeichentrickfilm über die Kindheit und Jugend der Regisseurin im Iran während und nach der Revolution wurde unter anderem in Cannes mit dem Preis der Jury ausgezeichnet. In der deutschen Synchronfassung wird Marjane von Jasmin Tabatabai gesprochen.
