Australien in den 1940ern: Ein Team von Berufstauchern wird angeheuert ein versunkenes Auto in einem Fluss zu orten und es zu bergen. Beim ersten Tauchgang stellt das Team fest, das sie nicht allein im Fluss sind: ein äußerst aggressiver Bullenhai jagt in dem Gewässer.
