Shamballa ist die 1993 entstandene Zusammenarbeit des Jazz-Schlagzeugers William Hooker, Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth) und des Komponisten Elliott Sharp. Auf dem Album spielt Hooker Duette mit jedem der beiden Musiker.
