Einige der in The Stables gespielten Stücke erinnern an die Zeit des Durchbruchs der Gruppe, in der sie regelmäßig im nationalen Fernsehen zu sehen waren und eine gewisse Herrschaft über den nationalen Äther erlangten. Der Sound von Shakatak hat sich im Laufe der Jahre weiterentwickelt und Elemente von Dance, Soul und Smooth Jazz in ihre Musik integriert.
