Duets
The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

Das Konzept dieses Albums ist: Einfachheit. Rob Wasserman spielt Bass, begleitet von jeweils einer Stimme. Das Ergebnis ist eine charmante Sammlung von Duetten seines Instruments mit dem Gesang von Aaron Neville, Rickie Lee Jones, Bobby McFerrin, Lou Reed, Jennifer Warnes, Dan Hicks, Cheryl Bentyne und Stephane Grappelli.
Bei der Aufnahme versuchte Wasserman, möglichst wenig technisch einzugreifen. Sein Bass dominiert nicht den Gesang, sondern agiert als Partner. »Es ist wie in einem Club. Damit kommt man dem Lied näher«, so Wasserman. Das Remastering von den Originalbändern erfolgte bei Joe Gastwirt Mastering.
