The Last Question, the second album by NUGARA, a trio formed by Francesco Negri (piano), Viden Spassov (double bass) and Francesco Parsi (drums). Guest on the album is trumpeter Giovanni Falzone. The album, produced by GleAM Records with the contribution of Nuovo IMAIE will be available on CD and digital download / streaming from November 28, 2025 and distributed by IRD International, Galileo Music, Site Music and Believe Digital. The release will be preceded by the singles String Theory
(September 26, 2025), Three Laws (November 14, 2025) and Here We Are(November 21, 2025). Last Question is a sonic and imaginative journey through some of the most fascinating themes science fiction has given us, inspired by images, ideas, and concepts drawn from literature, cinema, and contemporary reality. The album takes the form of a concept record exploring the universe, artificial intelligence, human nature, knowledge, time, and transcendence. The title is inspired by Isaac Asimov's
celebrated short story The Last Question, which deals with the problem of entropy and the ultimate fate of the universe. A narrative that spans billions of years, it traces the evolution of humanity and its artificial intelligence, Multivac, up to one final answer: the possibility of reversing the universe's thermal death. We chose this title because it encapsulates all the tracks and themes of the album, acting as a conceptual and symbolic framework: each track represents a stage in this
journey through space, time, matter, and consciousness. The Last Question is our depiction of a universe in constant evolution - a sonic exploration that invites reflection and imagination, preparing the listener for a journey we hope will spark new questions and perspectives on humanity's place in the vast and fascinating cosmos."
