Dezember 1957 im Concertgebouw in Amsterdam aufgezeichnet, also nur drei Tage, nachdem Miles Davis den legendären Soundtrack für Louis Malles Film »Noir Ascenseur pour l 'échafaud« aufgenommen hatte. Es besteht aus genau derselben Band, mit Miles an der Trompete, Barney Wilen am Tenorsaxophon, René Urtreger am Piano, Pierre Michelot am Bass und Kenny Clarke am Schlagzeug.
