Kat Edmonson ist eine US-amerikanische Sängerin und Songwriterin aus Houston, Texas. Ihre Mutter machte sie mit Schallplatten, Spielfilmen und Musicals mit dem Great American Songbook bekannt, den Klassikern amerikanischer Unterhaltungsmusik der 1930er bis 1960er Jahre. Ihre Musik vereint Elemente verschiedener Genres wie Jazz, Folk, Acoustic Rock, Bossa Nova, Country und Pop. Sie selbst bezeichnet ihren Musikstil als »Vintage Pop«.
Mit ihrem lieblichen Sopran und ihrem Talent für Songwriting ist Kat Edmonson eine Ausnahmekünstlerin, deren charmanter Mix breite Aufmerksamkeit erregt. Mit »Way Down Low« und »The Big Picture« konnte sie auch hierzulande bereits erfolgreiche Alben veröffentlichen. »Old Fashioned Gal« aus 2018 wurde in Deutschland nicht veröffentlicht. »Dreamers Do« vereint Original Kompositionen und neu interpretierte Disney Songs aus Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts. Das Album erzählt eine Geschichte, die sich im Verlauf einer schlaflosen Nacht ereignen könnte.
