Erstmals auf Vinyl - Konnzertaufnahme vom 28. März 1960 im Apollo-Theater in Düsseldorf, das vom Deutschen Rundfunk für die Fernsehübertragung in ein Fernsehstudio umgewandelt worden war. Ursprünglich als Auftritt des Miles Davis Quintetts + Gäste geplant, entschied sich Miles Davis letztendlich gegen eine Teilnahme an der Aufnahme, sodass Coltrane die Führung übernahm.
