Die Jazzwelt verlor eine wahre Legende, als Bassist Cleveland Eaton im Sommer 2020 verstarb. Dieses 1975 erschienene Album ist ein wahres Juwel aus dem geheiligten Black Jazz-Labels Katalog. Cleve nahm „Plenty Good Eaton“ auf, nachdem er die Band von Ramsey Lewis verlassen hatte. Ab 1980 verbrachte Eaton ein Dutzend Jahre mit Count Basie's Band.
Diese lang erwartete Neuauflage von „Plenty Good Eaton“ wurde neu gemastert von Mike Milchner (SonicVision) und enthält Linernotes von Pat Thomas inklusive Erinnerungen von Cleves Witwe Myra und dem langjährigeren Freund Lee Shook.
