»Coming To You Live« ist die Wiederveröffentlichung des sehr gefragten Soul / Funk Klassikers der 80er, vom »Mighty Burner« höchstselbst. Ursprünglich als Soul- Jazz Organist bekannt, hat sich Charles Earland später in seiner Karriere eher dem Disco- und Funk-Sound zugewandt.
Das Titelstück »Coming To You Live« ist ein Soul-Knaller mit einer Menge Klasse, veredelt mit Slap-Bass-Einlagen, Blechbläsern und der samtweichen Stimme von Earlands Frau Sheryl Kendricks – pures Dancefloor Dynamite!
Außerdem hört man dem Album jederzeit die Arrangements von Tom Washington, Weldon Irvine und Marcus Miller an. Allesamt große Talente, die Earlands jazzigere Keyboards mit Soul veredelt haben, ohne den klassischen Sound des Künstlers zu entstellen.
