Es enthält drei Aufnahmesessions aus den Jahren 1949 und 1951. Bei der einen spielte Powell mit einem All-Star-Quintett in typischer Bebop-Besetzung, bei der anderen im klassischen Trio-Format. Das Repertoire ist eine wahre Fundgrube von Bebop-Klassikern und enthält neben Stücken von Monk, Parker und Gillespie drei der bekanntesten Powell-Kompositionen: ‹Un Poco Loco«, ‹Dance Of The Infidels» und ‹Parisian Thoroughfare«.
