Nach dem im Jahr 2007 erschienenen und sehr positiv aufgenommenem Debütalbum „High Tide“ in der „Jazzthing Next Generation Reihe“ präsentierten Subtone nun mit „Echolot“ ihr erstes Album bei SKIP Records.
Und wiederum besticht vor allem auch die kompositorische Kraft der Stücke, Geschichten, gemalt in hellen und dunklen Farben, geraden und krummen Takten, mal mitreißend rhythmisch, mal berührende lyrisch, und dabei immer offen für Improvisation und Interaktion.
