Nach dem erfolgreichen EP ›The Shocking Miss Emerald: Acoustic Sessions‹ (2013) mussten wir einfach eine Fortsetzung aufnehmen. Also buchten Jan, Caro und David zwischen ihrer Arbeit für die Tournee und den neuen Aufnahmen zwei Studiotage, um sich auf »abgespeckte« Versionen ausgewählter Songs ihres ersten Albums zu konzentrieren.
Bewaffnet mit einem Binson Echorec (einem berüchtigten italienischen Echogerät aus den frühen 50er Jahren) und einem alten Ampex Reel-to-Reel-Recorder von 1958 nahmen sie auf traditionelle Weise 8 Lieder auf: Caro und die Musiker in einem Raum, ohne Kopfhörer, direkt auf Band. Das Ergebnis ist - wenn wir das selbst sagen dürfen - nichts weniger als Magie!
