The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

Der Produzent John Snyder wollte schon immer einmal »Pepper« aufnehmen und buchte den Saxophonisten für eine Woche im Village Vanguard in New York. Zu dieser Zeit war Pepper bei Contemporary Records unter Vertrag und Labelchef Les Koenig beschloss, die Auftritte aufzuzeichnen, womit Snyder jegliche Vorstellung, dasselbe zu tun, zunichte machte. Art versprach Snyder jedoch, dass er irgendwann in der Zukunft ein Album für Snyders Label Artists House aufnehmen würde. Am Ende wurden es vier.

Hier sind wieder – auf Vinyl, CD und digital – die Originalalben dieser Sessions, liebevoll in ihrer Originalform nachgebildet, vom Grammy®-Gewinner Michael Graves remastered und von Jeff Powell neu geschnitten. »So In Love«, ursprünglich 1980 erschienen, enthält Peppers Interpretationen von Klassikern von Thelonious Monk, Cole Porter und Hoagy Carmichael sowie zwei Originale, darunter »Blues For Blanche«. Die CD und die Digitalversion enthalten drei Bonustracks aus den Sessions.
