Braucht sich die russische Sinfonik keine Sorgen um ihre weltweite Rezeption zu machen, sieht es bei der Chormusik, die auf eine nicht weniger lange und reichhaltige Tradition zurückblicken kann, leider ganz anders aus. Da wird dann selbst ein Werk Schostakowitschs zu einer aufregenden Katalogneuheit, die selbst vielen eingefleischten Schostakowitsch-Fans bislang unbekannt gewesen sein dürfte.
