Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. Palaiologos auf der Suche nach ausländischer Hilfe für das belagerte Konstantinopel Weihnachten am Hof des englischen Königs Heinrich IV. verbrachte.
Unter der Leitung von Alexander Lingas erwecken die Männer und Frauen der Cappella Romana mittelalterliche byzantinische und sarumische Gesänge und königliches Zeremoniell zum Leben, vorgetragen von zwei sehr unterschiedlichen historischen Chören, von denen der eine auf Griechisch und der andere auf Latein singt, genau wie einst beim Weihnachtsfest im Londoner Eltham Palace.
Die SACD enthält ein 36-seitiges Booklet mit einem ausführlichen Essay und einer Bibliografie, einem Faksimile des Manuskripts, vollständigen Biografien aller Sängerinnen und Sänger und den Originaltexten in Latein und polytonischem Griechisch mit Englisch.
