Jan G. Michel is a privatdozent at the University of Düsseldorf, Germany. The focus of his research is at the intersection of philosophy of mind, philosophy of language, and philosophy of science, in particular on AI and discovery. He also works on environmental philosophy.

Jan G. Michel studied philosophy, English philology and educational science He works in analytic theoretical philosophy with a focus on the philosophy of mind, the philosophy of language, (modal) epistemology and the philosophy of science, and has published several articles in all of these areas.
