The second USS Cossack (SP-695) was an armed motorboat that served in the United States Navy as a patrol vessel from 1917 to 1919. Cossack was built as a civilian motorboat of the same name in 1916 by George Lawley and Sons of Neponset, Massachusetts. Upon the entry of the United States into World War I, the U. S. Navy acquired her in April 1917 for war service as a patrol boat. She was commissioned as USS Cossack (SP-695) at Boston on 1 May 1917. Assigned to the 1st Naval District, Cossack conducted patrols in the Boston, Massachusetts, until October 1918.
