Tor Freeman, geboren in London, hat 1999 mit einem B A in Illustration an der Universität von Kingston abgeschlossen. Beim Zeichnen lässt sie sich von ihrer Umgebung inspirieren, dazu gehören auch ihre zeitweilige Wahlheimat Kalifornien und besonders die uns weniger vertrauten Tiere Südafrikas. Tor Freeman hat erfolgreich mehrere Bilder- und Kinderbücher illustriert, u.a. bei Walker Books und Macmillan.
