Klappentext
Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The Tokyu Group ( Tky Gurpu ) of companies centers on the Tokyu Corporation railway company, which links Tokyo and its suburbs. Many companies in the group are designed to enhance the value of the Tokyu rail network. In addition to the railroad system, the group includes other companies in transportation, real-estate, retail, leisure, and cultural endeavors. Here is a partial list of companies in the Tokyu Group. The Tokyu Corporation ( Tky Kyk Dentetsu Kabushiki-gaisha ), also known in Japanese as Tky Dentetsu for short, is a major private railway operator in the Greater Tokyo Area of Japan. Its headquarters are in Shibuya, Tokyo. It was formed on September 2, 1922 as the Meguro-Kamata Electric Railway ( Meguro Kamata Dentetsu ), and was later known as the Tokyo-Yokohama Electric Railway ( Tky Yokohama Dentetsu ) before gaining its current name in 1943. From 1944 to 1948, it also owned the companies now known as the Keihin Electric Express Railway, Keio Corporation, and Odakyu Electric Railway. During this time, it was colloquially known as Dai-Tokyu (lit. Great Tokyu).
