Klappentext
This volume examines entrepreneurship within the military ecosystem in Nigeria and how this can be leveraged for economic growth.
Bringing together diverse perspectives, this book offers a comprehensive examination of the connections between entrepreneurship, the military as an institution, military family members, and military-affiliated enterprises in Africa. The book analyzes case studies of the commercial enterprises of the three arms of the Nigerian military: the army, navy, and air force. It discusses how religion influences military entrepreneurial pursuits and explores the recent integration of artificial intelligence in Nigeria's defense networks.
Conceptually, this volume invites us to look at interconnections of the military ecosystem and the business enterprises of the military. Against the background of a renaissance in military entrepreneurship studies, this volume defines the character of military entrepreneurship in Nigeria. Additionally, chapters in the volume show the multiplex fields of entrepreneurship that are crucial for understanding the nuances of the military entrepreneurship ecosystem, including the application of military resources in commercial ventures. Consequently, the chapters are grouped into six sections: overview of military entrepreneurship landscape, technology and militarization, the social capital of military entrepreneurship, military family entrepreneurship, education and finance matters, and comparative cases / international partnership and alliances.
