Rosalind Hart: Camera Confidence, Kartoniert / Broschiert

Klappentext

Does the thought of turning on your camera make your stomach drop?

You know your business needs video. You've watched competitors, colleagues, even people less experienced than you build trust and win clients on camera - while you've recorded and deleted the same twenty seconds a dozen times, or never pressed record at all.

Camera Confidence isn't another marketing book telling you to "just be yourself" and hope the fear goes away. It's a warm, practical, step-by-step guide built specifically for capable, credible people who freeze, stiffen, or spiral into self-criticism the moment a lens is pointed at them - and who are ready to actually do something about it.

Drawing on the same graduated-exposure principles used to help people overcome performance anxiety of every kind, this book walks you through a gentle but structured path from camera-avoidance to camera-comfort - no forced positivity, no "fake it till you make it," just real tools that work with your nervous system instead of against it.

What's inside:

Why your brain treats a camera like a threat - and why that has nothing to do with talent or personality A twelve-rung "ladder" for building comfort gradually, from sitting near a powered-off camera to going live with confidence A simple ninety-second breathing and grounding ritual to steady your body before you hit record How to write scripts that sound like you talking - not a script being read A no-perfectionism setup guide: real gear, real budget, real results The "editing safety net" that means no single stumble ever has to survive into your final video Four composite journeys showing exactly how real (if disguised) business owners moved from dread to routine confidence Tools for handling harsh comments and your own inner critic without losing momentum A 21-day challenge, a 90-day roadmap, sample scripts, troubleshooting guides, and a full worksheet compilation

Perfect for coaches, consultants, service providers, and small business owners who are self-conscious about their appearance, voice, or performance on camera - and who are done letting that fear decide whether their business gets to use video.

This book is a communication and business-preparation guide, not a substitute for professional mental health care; a short note inside points you toward additional support if anxiety runs deeper than the everyday kind this book addresses.
