Lisa Anchin: Maud and the Ghoul Scout Campout, Gebunden

Blurb

Maud, the sweet little vampire, is back to join her scout troop on an ever-so-gently spooky adventure in the woods -- but her scary campfire story has some gigantic competition!

The endearing Maud and her friends are eager to earn their Young Naturalist badges in this follow-up to Maud and the Very Eventful Week .After a brief setback when Maud's suspiciously heavy backpack proves to be full of stowaway critters and ghosties ("This is a Scouts-only trip," she chides), Maud is off to the camp with her trusty handbook, ready to spot creatures in the wild, forage for mushrooms, follow tracks, start a fire, and snack on smooshy marshmallows. But when it's Maud's turn to tell a tale around the fire, and she's more than ready to scare the patoots out of everyone . . . CREAK! SNAP! What could be out there that's even scarier than Maud's story? Pack up your fire-starting salamander for this slightly gothic tale, where the delight is in the details as illustrations portray Maud and her friends among familiar objects and activities of childhood---with just enough of a quirky twist to please the young vampire lovers among us.
