For Europe, the 24th of February 2022 marked a historic turning point. Until then, many decision-makers and commentators did not understand that developments in post-communist Russia can lead to the biggest war in Europe since 1945. These two collected volumes illustrate some of the factors preparing this tragic escalation. Biografie (Leonid Luks)
Prof. Dr. Leonid Luks, geb. 1947 in Sverdlovsk (heute Ekaterinburg), studierte Slavische Philologie sowie Osteuropäische und Neuere Geschichte in Jerusalem und München. 1973 Promotion und 1981 Habilitation an der LMU. Nach Lehrtätigkeit in Bremen und Köln seit 1995 Inhaber des Lehrstuhls für Mittel- und Osteuropäische Zeitgeschichte an der Katholischen Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt.Biografie (Andreas Umland)
