Klaus W. Hempfer, geb. 1942, ist Professor für Romanische Literaturwissenschaft an der FU Berlin. Forschungsschwerpunkte: Literatur und Epistemologie, europäische Renaissanceliteratur, französische Lyrik des 19. Jahrhunderts, Intermedialität.
