Biography
Manfred Brauneck ist Professor für Theaterwissenschaft und Direktor des Zentrums für Theaterforschung an der Universität Hamburg. Er gilt als einer der besten Kenner europäischer Theatergeschichte, er schrieb zahlreiche Handbücher und fachwissenschaftliche Veröffentlichungen zu Theatergeschichte, Dramaturgie und zur öffentlichen Funktion des Theaters.
