In her most recent solo exhibition Mere Things at the Jewish Museum, New York, Azoulay presents works that probe the delicate balance between factual representation and nuanced storytelling. Azoulay has devised a singular method to shed light on the blanks in hegemonic narratives and expose them. The resulting works question the exclusive truth claim of museum expertise and reveal its constructed quality. The catalogue of her works, designed as a box replete with texts and images, reflects this approach, aiming to dismantle established narratives and open up diverse perspectives.
