The time: less than a hundred years from now. The place: a remote Scottish island called Wing, around which sea levels are slowly but brutally rising. Sixteen-year-old Mara lives on this shrinking island in a small community. Through the mysterious online world of the "Weave", she makes contact with the "Fox" and realizes that she must take on the responsibility for leading her people to one of the sky cities which have been built above the rising seas.
