Klappentext
A landmark achievement in documentary history.
This volume of the Complete Works of Errico Malatesta covers the five and a half years from when the weekly Volontà was founded in June 1913, through the end of 1918, when Malatesta was exiled in London. Included are articles on trade unionism, criticisms of individualism, the problems of reformism, and articles on science and determinism. After a flurry of conferences and rallies in early 1914, news of the revolutionary upheaval in Ancona, which started on June 7, spread, leading to another period of exile for Malatesta. In London he found himself mired in debates concerning WWI and antimilitarism within the anarchist movement.
As a whole, the complete works include four categories of writing devised from a cross-distinction between Malatesta's own writings and the writings of other people, and between published and unpublished writings. In addition to Malatesta's articles, this volume contains a considerable number of pieces by other people (summaries of speeches and interviews), both published and unpublished (police reports).
